FALLEN BRANCH / BREATH OF CEDAR

Our wonderful friend. Lura Koch, have released two magical CDs.
We are very proud cause she uses only branch flutes made by us,
and to tell you the truth,
we've never thought our flutes could sound this good before her...
We are proud flutemakers, for sure,
trying to get the best sound possible from each branch we are working on,
but Lura blows us away, always finding the perfect sound,
giving its full life to the flute,
changing us in perfect flutemakers for a moment...
Her music is clear as a mountain stream, pure as the evening wind.

...We strongly encourage you to listen to the soundsample,
just below the CD covers, and definitely buy this music to make your day.

Description:

Fallen Branch and its sister album, Breath of Cedar,
are dedicated to nature and wild places, which have inspired most of the music.
The listener will hear strong influences from the rich tradition of Native American music,
as well as from classical and folk music from many cultures.
I hope that people will find peace and joy in these simple songs.
All tracks on this album are performed by Lura Koch.
They are her compositions or improvisations, except where indicated.
Loving gratitude to:

Donn Mumma, talented and long-suffering Recording Engineer

Robert Koch, splendid Photographer and Graphic Designer

The flutes used in this album are one of a kind and handmade from fallen branches,
without the use of power tools,
by the magical men from Fallen Branch,
the best Native American flute makers anywhere:
John Suttles, Dale Robertson, Amos Fleetwood, and Harold Ruckman.
