In 2004, in Germany, archeologists discovered that mammoth ivory pieces,
found in the Geißenklösterle cave years ago, was the parts of a whole flute.
This instrument could have more than 30000 years, and thus, be one of the oldest instrument on earth
(along with the other flutes found in southwestern germany).
Moreover, instead of simply use an hollow bone, the maker have worked
it like a native american flute,
thus split in half, carved, and glued back...Amazing !
